As a National Treasure, Grayson Chesser has co-authored the book "Making Decoys the Century Old Way " with Curtis Badger, He has been included in a chapter of the book " Eastern Shore of Virginia decoys in Chesapeake Bay" and " Decoys and The Men Who Made Them" and George Reiger's book "Floaters and Stickups". Grayson has also been featured in numerous articles in many magazines including "Field and Stream", "American Hunter", "Decoy Magazine", "Wood", "Virginia Wildlife", "Ward Foundation Magazine" and "Ducks Unlimited" . Grayson has achieved the honor of serving as a judge at the "Federal Duck Stamp Competition"
Grayson has also been the subject of 2 television programs, "Decoy Carvers of the Chesapeake Bay Region" and "On the Waterways". In addition Grayson is featured in the 2013 DVD "Spirit of the Birds", a James Spione film, produced by Morninglight Films, in association with The Barrier Islands Center. Grayson's love of his native Eastern Shore heritage dating back to the 1600's and its wildfowl has only grown.
